Yoga Studio Opening In Thornwood

Rebel Yoga is set to open on Commerce Street next month, imploring patrons to "refuse to be ordinary."

The studio is the brainchild of Thornwood native Tasia Sabatino, who has been teaching yoga in Westchester since 2013. Sabatino said Rebel Yoga will emphasize body awareness, correct alignment and injury prevention. 

"All flows incorporate strengthening muscle and joint movements, which is what can prevent injury," Sabatino said. " You're also going to leave class with a sore core and booty, as those areas are the base to our everyday movements as well as posture."
