Woman faces second-degree murder charge after mutilating man's genitals

COLORADO (WKRC) - A 32-year-old pregnant woman from Colorado has been arrested and is facing a charge of second-degree murder after allegedly stabbing her boyfriend on Tuesday, May 14. Shenting Guo is being accused of cutting off her boyfriend's penis following an argument about whether or not he was the father of Guo's future child.

Guo was charged with one count of second-degree murder while in the heat of passion and one count of domestic violence according to authorities.

Authorities responded to a call on the morning of May 14 regarding an unresponsive male at a Woodspring Suites hotel. First responders found the man suffering from a knife wound, and he was pronounced dead on the scene.

"Through the investigation, a suspect was identified and arrested. Shenting Guo, a 32-year-old female, was remanded to the Mesa County Detention Facility and charged with Murder in the Second Degree," said the Grand Jury Police Department in a news release. "The Mesa County Coroner's Office will be responsible for releasing the identity of deceased after appropriate notifications have been made."

According to the arrest affidavit, Guo explained her relationship with the victim to the police, including the romance and accusations of infidelity. Police say Guo stabbed the man in the leg during the argument.

The affidavit says, "She said she was not trying to kill him, but admitted to stabbing him because she was 'so angry'."

Additionally, Guo told police she cut off the man's penis, according to the affidavit. She said the man didn't appear to be in pain, so she went to the nearby City Market and bought rubbing alcohol, antibiotics, and beer, but no bandages, according to the affidavit.

The affidavit says Guo gave the victim ibuprofen, water, and "greens", but his eyes quickly lost life.

Guo is being held at the Mesa County Detention Facility on a $1 million cash bond.
