LOS ANGELES (CelebrityAccess MediaWire) — Ticketmaster's agreement to sell tickets at retail giant Wal-Mart has started rolling out, with Ticketmaster kiosks installed at hundreds of Wal-Mart retail locations around the country.

As previously reported in CelebrityAccess, the ticketing giant first announced their partnership with the retailer in February of this year. Since then, the company has been very busy and so far, 145 stores in Texas, 54 in Indiana, 102 in New England, 141 in California, 42 in North Carolina, 18 in New York and 39 in Florida have come online.

By using the kiosks, customers are able to browse current ticket offerings and upcoming events. Once a desired event is identified, a ticket is printed for the customer on the spot.

Live Nation is also offering promotion deals through the service and offering special '4-Pack' deals for amphitheatre shows. The '4-Packs' offerings vary by region, but include shows such as the Rockstar Energy Uproar Festival, Journey, Maroon 5 and Train, Santana, Blink 182 and 311 & Sublime with Rome.

"By integrating ticketing into Walmart stores, we are able to offer fans this very convenient way to learn about upcoming events, purchase and take home tickets without leaving their neighborhood," said Nathan Hubbard, CEO of Ticketmaster. "In addition, Ticketmaster will continue to work closely with our clients to create exclusive high value offers for Walmart customers."

Ticketmaster has had similar partnerships with retailers in the past, including shopping mall operator Simon, which allowed customers to purchase tickets at Mall customer service kiosks and video store Blockbuster, though that retailer has since succumbed to bankruptcy. – CelebrityAccess Staff Writers
