PHILADELPHIA (CelebrityAccess) A stagehand at a Billy Joel show is suing Joel, Live Nation and the concert venue for injuries he says he suffered in 2017.

Carl Anderson says in his lawsuit he was a stage handler for the September 2017 concert at Citizens Bank Park, home of the Philadelphia Phillies, when a scaffolding pipe fell and struck him, leaving him with a herniated disc and severe nerve damage in his back and neck, according to documents obtained by TMZ.

Anderson claims the alleged injuries caused lost wages and loss of future earnings, not to mention the financial burden of medical bills. He is suing for unspecified damages.

Joel’s camp and Live Nation have been contacted, although it is standard practice for Live Nation to not comment on pending litigation.
