Shannon Kook is an actor of Canadian and South African nationality, born on February 9, 1987, in Johannesburg, South Africa. Of Chinese and African descent, Kook moved to Montreal in his teens, where he became interested in film and acting, studying at the National Theater School of Canada, where he graduated with the Acting Award and the Edna Khubyar Scholarship. . He spent a season in the Canadian theater company The Forbidden Phoenix and began his professional career, first on stage and later on film sets.
