Man gave E-cigarettes to Clearfield County teen after sex assaults

CLEARFIELD COUNTY, Pa (WJAC) — Authorities say a Muncy man is behind bars in Clearfield County after he was accused of having sex with a teenage girl, twice.

Police say 33-year-old Nirav Patel reportedly engaged in sexual activity with a 13-year-old girl in a van in Cooper Township.

Police say the teen told authorities that Patel provided her with E-cigarettes in exchange for the sex.

Troopers say Patel also allegedly provided the girl, and another 13-year-old, with alcohol before the second assault.

According to online court records, Patel is charged with multiple offenses, including felonies for statutory sexual assault, aggravated indecent assault and corruption of minors.

He is being housed in the Clearfield County correctional facility on $250,000 bail.
