Irvona man accused of molesting teenage girl

CLEARFIELD COUNTY, Pa (WJAC) — State police in Clearfield County say an Irvona man is behind bars following an investigation into allegations that he repeatedly sexually abused a teenage girl.

Troopers say the victim disclosed multiple incidents of sexual assault by 55-year-old Cory Kubiak, including one incident that reportedly occurred while she was in the shower.

Police say all of the alleged assaults occurred at a residence in Irvona Borough.

Investigators say the victim also disclosed that in almost every alleged assault, Kubiak would force her to touch his genitals and/or perform sexual acts.

Troopers say that when they questioned Kubiak, he admitted to perform sexual acts with the victim approximately 4 to 5 times over the span of a couple months.

According to online court records, Kubiak was arraigned Tuesday on multiple counts of rape, aggravated indecent assault and rape of a mentally disabled person.

He is being held at the Clearfield County Jail on $100,000 bail.
