New Louisville Venue Dubbed Old Forester's Paristown Hall

LOUISVILLE, Ky. (CelebrityAccess) An under-construction live music space inside Louisville, Ky.’s Kentucky Center has a naming sponsor and has been dubbed Old Forester’s Paristown Hall after the Old Forester bourbon distillery.

The $12 million, 2,000-capacity venue is part of a $28 million development to turn the Paristown Pointe area into an art and culture district, according to the Louisville Courier Journal. It includes the renovation of Louisville Stoneware and a new location for Goodwood Brewing Company. The project is funded by private investments as well as tax tourism credits. The 28,000-square-foot building is expected to open mid-summer.

“It accomplishes what we hoped it would accomplish,” Kim Baker, president of the Kentucky Center, told the paper. “It feels incredibly intimate, you can see where there’s plenty of space to do a variety of configurations, and there’s really not going to be a bad seat or a bad place to view the show.”

The venue will have a stage, flexible floor space, long bars to keep the lines low, a mezzanine and an outdoor projection area, according to the Courier Journal.
