FF7 Remake Mystery Drink - Taste It or Don't Need That

Publish date: 2024-06-23

Mystery Drink in Final Fantasy VII remake is a choice that you’ll have to make just before the tournament in Chapter 6. In this choice, you’ll have to decide whether you want to taste the mysterious potion or not. Since this happens right before a major event in FF VII, people are skittish about making this choice, and understandably so. What if this makes the tournament much harder to beat? Well, if you’re one of the people unsure what to do here, we’ll explain everything you need to know in our FF7 Remake Mystery Drink – Taste It or Don’t Need That guide.

What to Choose in Mystery Drink Choice in Final Fantasy VII Remake Sector 6 Tournament?

What you choose to have the mystery drink before the tournament in Chapter 6 in the FF7 remake makes absolutely no difference. If you choose to drink the liquid, aka I’ll taste it, Cloud will remark that it’s very thick. And, that’s about it. It doesn’t give you any buffs or debuffs, doesn’t act like a Phoenix Down or anything else. As far as we can tell, it doesn’t do a darned thing at all. If, on the other hand, you choose I don’t need that, even more nothing is going to happen. Less than nothing, because nobody drinks the “potion.”

So, yeah; whatever you do here does not one iota the story change. It doesn’t change the outcome of the tournament in any discernible way. Doesn’t help you, but doesn’t make things more difficult, either. Also, this choice is not going to affect your relationship with Aerith in the long run. If it does make some kind of dent, by the end of the whole thing, it won’t matter at all. Other choices, like who to check on first in the Sewers in Chapter 10, hold way more sway.

And, well, that’s all you need to know about the Mystery Drink choice in the new Final Fantasy 7. If you need assistance with anything else in the game, we’ve got a whole bunch of other FF7 remake guides for you.
