Kylie Minogue beams as she performs at the Covent Garden Christmas lights turn on with Pudsey the Be

KYLIE Minogue beamed as bright as Christmas lights as guest of honour at the switch-on of Covent Garden's Christmas lights.

The 49-year-old Australian megastar performed a series of her hits alongside Pudsey the Bear to celebrate the big switch on, as well as raising money for Children in Need.

Always the trendsetter, Kylie swept her hair into a half-up do, in a leather and lace inspired outfit comprised of a ruffled shoulder piece with ruffled sleeves, and a black faux-leather dress.

She teamed the outfit with a pair of matching thigh-high black boots and tights.

Looking absolutely incredible and clearly feeling as fabulous as her outfit, the star couldn't wipe the smile from her face as she performed in front of the crowd.

She was joined by make-up mogul Charlotte Tilsbury, who looked equally as stylish in a long black gown while wearing her red hair in cute loose waves.

After a split from her fiance Joshua Sasse at the beginning of this year, the star has been putting her problems behind her and channelled her upset into a new album.

At the time of the split, the star thanked fans for their "love and support", writing on Instagram: "Thank you for all your love and support throughout this recent chapter of my life.

"Thank you now for your love and understanding with the news that Josh and I have decided to go our separate ways.

"We wish only the best for each other as we venture towards new horizons."

Talking exclusively to The Sun in October, Kylie revealed that the album was reflective of her past year.

“There’s a little bit of heartbreak, I would say," she admitted. “Mostly I try to reflect where I am."

“Definitely, in the last year, there’s been some of that but we bounce back. Most of it is super positive and inspiring, as a note to self as much as anything else. I’m feeling great right now.”
