Joseph C. Caronna, 55, Ridgewood Resident
He was born in Brooklyn, N.Y., to Joseph and Dale Caronna, and had lived in Ridgewood for the past 21 years.
Caronna is survived by wife, Cathy (Melillo) Caronna; children, Alex and Christina; his mother; and sisters, Theresa Caronna-Hubley and Anita Caronna.
Caronna was a senior executive manager for IBM, supporting its cloud technology. In addition to his corporate career, he was the president and founder of Inalex Communications, a national education and support organization, dedicated to meeting the emotional, informational and supportive needs of those living with a bleeding disorder. He was the past president of the Hemophilia Association of New Jersey, and has served as an advocate on numerous bleeding disorder-related state and national boards and consumer committees within the hemophilia community since 1994.
Visitation will be at Feeney Funeral Home, 232 Franklin Ave., Ridgewood, on Friday from 4 to 8 p.m.
The funeral Mass will be celebrated on Saturday in Our Lady of Mount Carmel Roman Catholic Church, 1 Passaic St., Ridgewood. There will not be services at the funeral home prior to Mass. Everyone attending is asked to gather at the church at 9:15 a.m. Entombment to follow in St. Charles Cemetery, 2015 Wellwood Ave., Farmingdale, Long Island.
