Upon his arrest, investigations conducted revealed that he was convicted of theft in 2005 and counterfeiting in 2007, serving less than 75 days for both crimes.Jeremy Meeks never knew that despite his problems, there was always a light at the end of the tunnel. While he was held as an inmate, tongues wagged at his appearance and most headlines about his arrest were sold for their headline; as he was often tagged as a hotshot felon. After his prison sentence, Meeks began a career as a model that brought him worldwide recognition.
He made his first runway debut during New York Fashion Week in February 2017 and then Vogue Magazine got him on their cover, describing him as a buff bad boy. In June of the same year, he was one of the catwalk models attending Milan Fashion Week, working under the direction of fashion designer Philipp Plein. He followed up his exploits by appearing in a campaign for Israeli sunglasses fashion house Carolina Lemke. In 2018, Meeks was the face of the FashionNova Men brand.

Ray Meeks, Jeremy’s father is no saint, comes to criminal records. He was jailed for murder in 1984 when his son was only nine months old. He stabbed a woman 36 times, killing her instantly. He was also held responsible for the rape of another woman. Ray spent over 34 years in prison before being released.
Meanwhile, Jeremy’s mother, Kathy, was a former heroin addict who also has a long felony criminal record. She was severely imprisoned, leaving her son in the care of her older sister Leanna.
His older half-brother, Emery, served a community order for robbery and also has a number of offenses, including underage purchase of an alcoholic beverage. Carmella, Jeremy’s half-sister, also has a slot as a criminal. She was jailed for minor larceny, aggravated drug possession, and a driving offense.
