After fans raised concerns about Hugh Jackman‘s wellbeing due to his chaotic social media posts, an insider set the record straight on how the actor is doing after separating from ex-wife Deborra-Lee Furness in 2023.

“Hugh is aware of his fans and their concern for his well-being, but he is good,” the source told Daily Mail. This came after Jackman, 55, left fans a little bit bewildered with Instagram posts of close up selfies, photos with his eyes closed and a video of a floor. “He is excited for Deadpool [& Wolverine] and being Wolverine again. That’s where most of his focus is going – on work and being present for that,” the source said.

As for dating, Jackman is reportedly not trying to rebound anytime soon, according to the source.

“When it comes to his love life, he thinks it is funny that so many people are wanting to know all about it. He will get there again. It isn’t a priority, but if something materialized, he would make it a priority,” the insider claimed. “But he is healthy and happy and that is something he cherishes right now.”

High-profile celebrity couples have recently announced unexpected splits, leaving fans in shock. Among them are Gerry Turner and Theresa Nist from ‘The Golden Bachelor,’ and Joshua Jackson and Jodie Turner-Smith. https://t.co/zTrzWdilTI

As we reported last week, some sources claimed that some members of the X-Men actor’s inner circle were worried about the actor’s mental state. “He tells people he’s thriving — and to his credit he has managed to get out there and enjoy a few dates and have plenty of fun — but his behavior is still pretty odd and erratic these days,” a source told In Touch.

“Between the self-obsessed social media posts and the fact that he’s started partying with people half his age, it’s sounding alarm bells for a lot of his old friends.” However, Daily Mail’s source is putting that concern to rest.

Jackman and Furness shocked fans when they revealed that they were separating after 27 years of marriage in September 2023.

“We have been blessed to share almost 3 decades together as husband and wife in a wonderful, loving marriage. Our journey now is shifting and we have decided to separate to pursue our individual growth,” said the couple in a joint statement. The Australian power couple wed in 1996 after less than a year of dating. They share two children, Oscar, 23, and Ava, 18.

“Our family has been and always will be our highest priority. We undertake this next chapter with gratitude, love, and kindness. We greatly appreciate your understanding in respecting our privacy as our family navigates this transition in all of our lives,” they concluded before adding, “This is the sole statement either of us will make.”

Furness did allude to embracing her new single era at the red carpet premiere of her movie, Force of Nature: The Dry 2, in January. “It is kind of exciting,” she shared. “You know what, change, transition, evolution is a little frightening and we are all a bit scared of it but I think it is probably our greatest gift.”
