Fred Mangione Named COO At Barclays Center
NEW YORK (CelebrityAccess) — The Brooklyn Nets and Barclays Center have named Fred Mangione as Chief Operating Officer. Mangione has heretofore been serving as Executive Vice President, Chief Marketing Officer and Chief Revenue Officer for both the team and venue.
Mangione's new portfolio will now include overseeeing ticket sales, corporate sponsorships, marketing, business communications, event marketing, game entertainment, and community relations.
“Fred has been with me since 2005 and was instrumental in the strategy and execution for the opening of Barclays Center and the transformation of the Nets’ brand in the team’s move to Brooklyn,” said Brett Yormark, CEO of Barclays Center and the Brooklyn Nets. “Fred is a great partner and is well deserving of the promotion and the recognition that goes with it.”
Brian Basloe, who has been named Chief Strategy Officer of Suite and Ticket Sales, will continue to report to Mangione.
In addition, Andrew Schwartz has been promoted to Senior Vice President of Global Partnerships. Schwartz will have direct accountability for the Nets and Islanders sales, while Chris Brahe, also a Senior Vice President of Global Partnerships, will have direct accountability for sales for Barclays Center and the soon to be recreated Nassau Coliseum.
