Former Assistant Westchester DA Dies After Larchmont Swim Event: 'Distinguished Public Servant'
Retired Westchester Assistant District Attorney Patrick Moore died at the age of 62 on Saturday, July 29 following a Swim Across America Event at the Larchmont Yacht Club, CBS News reported.
Moore died at an area hospital after suffering a medical event in the water, the outlet said.
As the county mourns Moore's sudden loss, the Westchester District Attorney's Office is remembering him as a "devoted and distinguished public servant."
"For those of us who had the privilege to have worked with Pat, we will always remember his dedication to justice, sharp wit, and generosity of spirit," the office said in a statement on Monday, July 31.
Moore had retired from the office following a 35-year career.
