Woman dies after crash on RT 322 in Philipsburg

PHILIPSBURG, Pa. (WJAC) — One person has died following a two-vehicle crash in Philipsburg.

Pennsylvania State Police in Rockview identified the victim as Taylor Harpster, 27, of Philipsburg.

The crash between an SUV and tractor trailer happened around 6:30 p.m. Wednesday at the intersection of Railroad Street and East Pine Street in Philipsburg Borough.

Police said Harpster failed to negotiate a curve and crossed the center line hitting the tractor trailer head on. The driver of the truck was not injured.

Route 322 was closed as police investigated the crash, but it has since reopened.
