Coroner IDs Infant, Woman Killed In Allentown Shooting
They were 44-year-old Ada Ortiz and her 1-year-old grandson Sebastian Serrano, said the Lehigh County Coroner's Office.
Officials said Ortiz died from multiple gunshot wounds while Serrano's autopsy was still ongoing as of midday Tuesday, Jan. 2. Both of their deaths have been ruled homicides, the Coroner added.
Ortiz, Serrano, and an unnamed 66-year-old man were found shot in a house on the 100 block of Chestnut Street on Friday night, Daily Voice reported.
The adult man was hospitalized and is expected to survive his injuries, police have said.
Authorities have not announced any charges in connection with the killings. APD, the Coroner's Office, and Lehigh County homicide detectives are investigating.
In a GoFundMe post, loved ones said Ortiz and her 1-year-old grandson were shot by someone who broke into the home.
Relatives said Ortiz was a mother of five, a grandmother, a daughter, and a sister.
