2 PSU students have coronavirus after studying abroad; neither was on campus

UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. (WJAC) — Two Penn State students who were studying abroad this semester have tested positive for coronavirus, the university announced Thursday.

Penn State Media Strategy Manager Heather Robbins confirmed the cases to 6 News.

Robbins says neither of the students has been on campus.

One of the students is back in the United States with family and is asymptomatic, Robbins says.

“The other individual is still abroad, and we are doing whatever we can to support the student, who we understand is feeling better,” said Robbins.
